The second-generation Ford Taurus is a mid-size car that was produced by Ford for the 1992-1995 model years, having entered production in 1991. It has sedan and station wagon variants and is the second out of six generations of the Ford Taurus. The second-generation Taurus shared all of its mechanical parts with the first-generation Taurus, with a completely revised exterior and interior strongly resembling the first-generation Taurus. It would hold this title until 1995, when it was superseded by the third generation.
